On Sunday, Aug. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. the League of Volunteers (LOV) will be selling special discount tickets in the central court at NewPark Mall for the upcoming performances of Circus Chimera. There will be entertainment for the whole family that afternoon. The world famous Red Panda Acrobats from China will perform astonishing feats from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. At 3 p.m., Alan the Amazing will delight you with his magic and will make balloon animals, hats, swords and more.

LOV volunteers will on hand to tell you all about the fantastic Circus Chimera coming to NewPark Mall parking lot from Aug. 17 to 21. You don't want to miss this magical blend of circus, theatre and fantasy under the Big Top. It is a cross between the traditional Ringling Brothers circus (except no animals) and Cirque du Soleil, combining art with daredevil circus feats of acrobats, trapeze artists, clowns and much more. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday, 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and Monday at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $10. However, special advance sale tickets for only $7 will be sold on Aug. 13 at central court and at the Mall Customer Service desk.
