Prepare for a night of singing, dancing and romancing under the stars, at the Ohlone Amphitheatre, as Star Struck Theatre presents "Thoroughly Modern Millie," winner of six 2002 Tony Awards, including best new musical. Star Struck Theatre is proud to be the first youth group in the Bay Area to present "Millie."
The story is set in New York City in 1922. "Millie" tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, played by Courtney Stokes, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life. She encounters a city full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie, the 2002 stage version includes a full score of new songs, snappy dance numbers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady villainess that audiences will love to hate.
