Cal Football Camp

by Teri Romero

Three hundred fifty high school football players from around the state and western U.S. spent three days and two nights at a summer football camp on the Cal Berkeley campus. Among those in attendance were Bryce Rocklage, Robert Romero and George Ruiz who will be seniors on the Kennedy High School football team this fall. This was the first time any player from Kennedy attended Cal's annual camp.

All three players hope to take the experience and knowledge learned from Cal Head Coach, Jeff Tedford and his staff into to their final season at Kennedy High. The camp ended on Sunday with full contact football, an awards ceremony and BBQ for the players and their parents. Kennedy High School will be holding its week-long, preseason football camp in August when the team spends days and nights together getting ready for the upcoming season.
