Old time wheat harvestingby Sean Senti
Sundays in July, Ardenwood visitors of all ages will want to take advantage of the Wheat Harvesting events scheduled from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. where you can follow a wheat berry's journey from the field to your table. Guests can lend a hand bringing in the sheaves and working with an amazing, antique mechanical threshing machine. The wheat will then be milled into wholesome, stone-ground flour. Finally, there will be a tasty, whole-wheat treat fresh from the oven.
