Hayward's Douglas Morrisson Theatre is holding auditions for Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic, "The Sound of Music" now through June 25. Principal roles include three women and five girls (ages 5, 7, 9, 13 and 16), plus two men; and two boys (ages 11 and 14). Feature roles are also being cast for four women, one man; and one boy.

Community participation is encouraged; be a part of this wonderful theatre experience. We especially welcome women who would like to sing in the ensemble.

Please come prepared to sing one verse of a song of your choice from "The Sound of Music," including music scored for piano. A pianist will be provided.

This is an open call - no appointments are needed. Performance dates will be Sept. 29 to Oct. 29.
