Hayward residents, come forward and ye shall be heard! Are you a registered voter who would like a bit more say in city affairs? Well, now is your chance to advise the City Council by joining one of numerous standing commissions and boards reviewing various aspects of city government.
The mayor and council are accepting applications for openings on the following panels: Planning Commission, Citizens Advisory Commission, Human Services Commission, Library Commission, Personnel and Affirmative Action Commission, and two vacancies on the Downtown Business Improvement Area Advisory Board.
Interested residents may obtain application forms from the City Clerk's Office, 777 B Street, Hayward, CA 94541 or by calling 583 4400 or 583 4408.
Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, June 16, 2006, before 5:00 p.m. Interviews with the City Council are tentatively scheduled for late June. Applicants will be notified when a date is confirmed. This is an opportunity to make a difference in your community.
