DeVry University/Fremont is accepting applications for its "College and More Program," a one-week residential academic camp where local high school students can experience college life. The camp runs Sunday, June 25 through Friday, June 30 at the campus located at 6600 Dumbarton Circle in Fremont.
Throughout the week, students will participate in computer engineering technology workshops and seminars, and take field trips to local businesses, while living on campus. The program is designed for students interested in math, science and technology.
Cost is $100, which includes meals, supplies, transportation and accommodations at Taylor Hall, the on-campus dormitory.
"Our goal is to encourage high school students to pursue engineering, science and technology in higher education," said Kandy Simmons, president of DeVry University/Fremont. "By getting exposure to college life now, participants in the 'College and More Program' will be more informed and better equipped to make decisions about their future."
