The Fremont Family Resource Center announces their fourth annual Junior Giants Baseball Season to be held this summer in the Cabrillo neighborhood. The Cabrillo Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive co-ed league serving ages 5 to 13. Equipment is provided by the Giants Community and the league has volunteer coaches. Practices will be held at Cabrillo Elementary, followed by a friendly game on Saturdays.

Sign ups will be Monday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 6 at Patterson Elementary School at 35521 Cabrillo Drive from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The season runs from July 10 to August 19. On closing day, awards are passed out to players.

We are actively seeking coaches. No experience is necessary as the S.F. Giants will provide a day-long training on July 1 at AT&T Park.

In addition, we're asking for donations of any items that will make our program a great success, that includes retail items, weekend and entertainment packages, event tickets, services, gift certificates, collectables and memorabilia, gift cards, food concessionary items, and of course monetary donations are always welcome. Donations are tax free. To help ensure proper recognition in our promotional materials, please send your donation and form by June 25.

For more information call Ronda Terra (510) 574-2283.
