Seniors (15-16 year olds)

A's 2 Giants 0
Pitcher Brian Curtis pitched a complete game shutout for the A's, giving up only 2 hits. Kevin Barton, Matt Bierman, Jonathan Wellman, and Brian Curtis all banged out hits, with Curtis' single resulting in an RBI. Tough loss for Giants' pitcher Brian Wihl who gave up only 1 earned run off 3 hits. He struck out 9. James Youn walloped a double to the fence while Spenser Petersen contributed a single.

Juniors (13-14 year olds)

A's 9 Mariners 3
The A's Ethan Torrence pitched a complete game in the win over the Mariners. Torrence struck out 9 and gave up only three singles. The A's held a 3-1 lead when the Mariner's Greg Oliviera delivered a two-run single to tie the game. Torrance then responded with his bat and delivered a key, run-scoring single as the A's replied with 4 runs to take the lead 7-3. A two-run single by the A's Tyler Strand ended the scoring with the A's prevailing 9-3.

Angels 6 Mets 2
The Angels beat the Mets behind the combined pitching efforts of Chris Gonzalez and Eric Gwynn. They struck out seven Mets batters and allowed only five hits. The Mets' Trent Nelson limited the potent Angel offense to three runs on four hits before the Angel offense came alive in the sixth as Travis Medeiros came up with the key hit of the inning.

Majors (10-12 year olds)

Yankees 10 Angels 0
The Yankees smacked 8 hits in their resounding win. Sam Sanches banged out 2 doubles and a single for 3 RBIs and Chris Gaines put in his effort with 3 singles and 2 RBIs. Brandon Fuhs also came through with an RBI single. Pitchers Gaines and Brandon Facha combined to give up only 2 hits while striking out 8. The Angels had a valiant pitching effort from Param Bhatter and Sean Tannenbaum and some strong defensive plays from Devon Jones and Mehul Goyal. Heads-up offense was supplied by the Angel's Barry Blank, Tannenbaum, Jones, and Bhatter.
 
Mariners 6 A's 5
The A's fought hard and rallied in the 6th, but came up short in a 6-5 loss to the Mariners. Highlights included back-to-back-to-back doubles from Brian Zucker, Nate Zucker and Matt Imhof in the 5th inning. Singles from Vince Volpatti, Brandon Au and Zak Nelson kept the bases occupied.

Braves 5 Giants 4
The Braves scored the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning to hand the Giants a 5-4 loss. Scott Havard and Akhil Sundar provided the offensive firepower by hitting doubles. First baseman James Gaffey and pitcher Logan Graves turned in the defensive gem of the game in the sixth. Despite a game-tying RBI single by Phil Mirenda in the 4th, the Giants 6th inning rally fell short. Dustin Koliner had 2 doubles with 2 RBIs, and Ian Dickeson also had two hits. Jeff Chu and Stuart Rosete chipped in with hits as well. Outfielders Koliner and Billy James both made fine clutch catches.
 
Minors (9-12 year olds)
National League

Braves 6 Yankees 4
The Braves pulled out a close one against the Yankees 6 - 4, coming to life with an awesome 2 run home run hit into deep center field by Ryan Mark. Outstanding defensive plays were made by Mark, Tyler Johnson, Abhinav Shah and Dillon Collins. The defensive play of the game came when catcher Patrick Yang held on to a foul tip for a third strike. For the Yankees, Devin Bell had two singles and two RBIs and Terrance Hu had two singles. Trevor Brown scored a run. Bell was outstanding in his three innings of pitching, allowing no runs. In the first inning, he used only four pitches to dispose of the Braves behind excellent defense from Adam Bao, Cal Tabert and himself.


Mariners 7 Yankees 6
Ryan Henderson's bases-loaded single scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth as the Mariners beat the Yankees. Andrew Chang, Vikram Dharasker and Jordan Terbeek combined to strike out 15 and Cole Nauman made an unassisted double play at second. Terbeek also plated three runs with a single, Nauman knocked in two runs with another single and Chang contributed an RBI double. For the Yankees, Trevor Brown had two singles, an RBI, and scored a run. Carlos Flores had a double and scored. Cal Tarbert pitched three solid innings with 6 strikeouts. Alex Hancock caught a fly ball at second base to stop a Mariners rally keeping the score tied 6-6.
 
A's 10 Giants 4
The Athletics beat the Giants 10 - 4. Pitchers Jay Shah and Johnny Leinweber threw 7 and 5 strikeouts respectively. Saad Azam belted a double, and Shah, Cheyenne Walker, Cody Teague, and Chandler Witham had singles.

Minors (8-10 year olds)
American League

Mets 10 Giants 4
The Mets beat the Giants behind strong pitching from Sam Lowrey and Shane Rexrode. Every Mets batter reached base including a double by Riyaz Merchant. Justin Nguyen and Ryan Liu pitched well for the Giants. Sam Smith and Ashin Katwala had powerful hits.

Angels 8 Giants 3
The Giants lost to the Angels 8-3. The Giants Karthik Kribakaran made two spectacular catches off his own pitching in the first inning. Mark Gaffey, Michael Brazil, Tanios Boudames and Nicholas Chavez contributed with their bats for the Giants, and Aman Dhar was solid in the field.
