National awards for Logan High forensic team

by Rick La Plante

James Logan High School won both sweepstakes awards over the Memorial Day weekend at the National Catholic Forensic League's Grand National tournament in Chicago.

Competing in the NCFL tournament for only the second time, Logan won the sweepstakes awards for both points in individual events and for combined points in debate and individual events.

Logan sophomore Taron Grizzell won the dramatic presentation competition, and senior A.J. Pascua finished fourth in extemporaneous speaking.
