Fremont Day at the A's

by Jane Mueller

Celebrate Fremont, the community-based planning organization for Fremont's 50th anniversary celebration, announced that Wednesday, August 16 will be Fremont Day at the A's baseball game. Field level tickets go on sale immediately at a $10 discount, and orders will be filled on a first-come first-served basis subject to availability.

$5.00 of every ticket purchased will be donated to support Fremont's two-day 50th anniversary celebration, "Celebrate Fremont @ the Park," slated to take place September 9 to 10 in Fremont's Central Park. The anniversary celebration itself will be admission-free in order to make it inclusive of the entire community.

Field Level seats may be reserved for $20 each, instead the usual $30. This discount applies only to tickets ordered in advance by mail or fax using the Fremont Day at the A's order form available at the Celebrate Fremont office at 4589 Eggers Drive. Or, visit www.celebratefremont.org. There will be a $5 processing fee and completed forms may be faxed to 510-563-2398 or mailed to Oakland A's, Attention: Phil Chapman, P.O. box 2220, Oakland, CA 94621.

August 2 is the deadline for the discounted tickets. Contact the A's for more information at 510-638-GOAs (4627).
