Kids in the Tri-City areas of Fremont, Newark and Union City can enjoy one more kite festival. The kite-flying season is in full swing. Children and adults who enjoyed the Tri-City Voice-Family Kite Day in Sportsfield Park at Silliman Complex, Newark and those who could not make it that day have one more opportunity to attend a local kite festival.

The City of Fremont Recreation Services is sponsoring the Kids n' Kites Festival on Saturday, May 27 at Central Park Softball Complex. The highlights include not only a free admission to the event but also free kites for children, food and interactive game booths.

The 2006 Kids and Kites Festival, sponsored by Fremont Swim School, have scheduled performances by dancers, magicians, gymnastics, cheer squad, sports, martial arts and more. It will definitely be a day filled with fun activities for the entire family.
