Parents and guardians of Fremont Unified School District students with health plans and other interested community members are invited to preview a presentation the FUSD Student Health Advisory Committee has prepared for the FUSD Board of Education. The preview will be Wednesday, May 3, in the Board Room of the FUSD Education Center, 4210 Technology Drive. The presentation to the Board of Education is scheduled for May 24.

FUSD staff first met with about 50 parents and guardians on Oct. 24 to review the implementation of the district's medication policies and regulations. At that meeting, a steering committee was formed to discuss issues related to student health services at school. The steering committee has met several times over the past few months and is now ready to present its findings to the Board of Education.

The preview is intended to provide an opportunity for the committee to gather more information and to answer questions about its process, findings and recommendations.
