The Newark Cup soccer tournament will be held April 28, 29, and 30. This popular annual school event showcases all elementary schools in Newark, with both boys and girls teams. Most of the matches will be held on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with championship and consolation games concluding on Sunday. All games will be played at Sportsfield 1 & 2 at the corner of Cherry Street and Mowry Avenue between the Fire Station #3 and Silliman Center.

Come support and cheer on your neighborhood school. Last year's girl's champion, Kennedy Elementary, has held the first place trophy for the last six years. 2005 boy's champion Musick School will have plenty of competition on their hands to remain as champs.
