Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Open House - Share our success!
by Angela Hartman, Wildlife Volunteer Coordinator
The Ohlone Humane Society Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is in its eighth year of assisting orphaned and injured wildlife in the Bay Area. Thanks to our members, community support and very hard working volunteers, we are able to keep our doors open for another year!
2005 was a very successful for our wildlife center. We had an animal release rate higher than last year and the year before, caring for more than 1,000 animals in 2005. The center took in many different kinds of animals such as baby barn owls, orphaned raccoons, and hundreds of baby birds.
We want to share our success with the public because they are concerned and bring these beautiful animals in for care and treatment. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is having an open house on March 25 to celebrate and allow the general public to peek behind the scenes.
Join us at our Open House
See first-hand what a wildlife hospital looks like beyond the lobby! Ongoing tours of the exam room, nurseries, and animal aviaries. Volunteers will talk about what wildlife rehabilitation is and how you can help.
All ages welcome! Hands-on children's activities about wildlife.
