State Assemblyman Alberto Torrico is scheduled to address the March 9 meeting of the Mission Valley Special Education Local Planning Area Community Advisory Committee. SELPA is a coalition of special education programs in the Fremont, New Haven and Newark unified school districts.
Assemblyman Torrico is expected to address several topics of interest to parents, guardians and other advocates for students with special educational needs, including the legislative process and current legislation, funding and other issues affecting special education.
The meeting is set for Thursday, March 9, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Fremont Unified School District Education Center Board Room at 4210 Technology Drive. The Board Room is immediately inside the North Entrance.
