Hollywood Comes to Centervilleby Jeremy Inman
Ever wanted to be part of a Hollywood opening? How does walking down the red carpet at the Academy Awards sound? Better yet, what would you say to a seat next to Jack down in front?
Well, the Center Theater Preservation Group is offering movie fans a chance to be a part of the festivities with their formal but fun Night at the Oscars. For $100 you can buy a ticket to this gala event - a live, professionally catered telecast of the Oscars on the big screen in Centerville's very own Center Theater! This year's glitz and glamour event, sponsored by Martin's Beauty Supply, Bogies Discount Pet Supply, Fremont Flowers, Centerville Business Association, year 'round Centerville Farmers' Market and What's Happening's Tri-City Voice newspaper, promises to be a big success.
On Sunday, March 5th from 4 to 9 p.m. attendees can walk the red carpet into the Center Theater wearing their best Hollywood attire to be photographed as they make their entrances like real live stars. Guests will test their powers of prognostication and predict the Oscar winners for a chance to win a grand prize.
Most importantly, all proceeds benefit the Preservation Group's continuing efforts to revitalize the Center Theater and bring broad-based community theater activities back to Centerville. Limited seating means that advance ticket purchase is advised. ...and Jack, will you please pass the caviar?
