Evening of Musical Entertainment Raises Money for Women's Health Services

Never heard your doctor sing? Here is your chance! Join Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation for a night of musical entertainment, a touch of humor, and delectable desserts during "A Little Night Music VII," a Magical Medical Musicale.

The event, being held on Friday, March 3, will feature performances by Washington Hospital employees, medical staff members and their family members. Proceeds will benefit Washington Hospital's new state-of-the-art Women's Health Center.

Supporting local women's health care
Washington Township Health Care District Board of Directors voted in May 2005 to approve moving forward with the development of its Women's Health Center. The new facility will be located within the Washington West building which is located across the street from Washington Hospital at 2500 Mowry Avenue in Fremont.

The Women's Health Center will encompass a broad range of health services for women, including: diagnostic imaging; disease screening and care; nutritional counseling; education; and support groups, all in one convenient location.
Leading edge diagnostic procedures available at the center will include digital mammography and ultrasound imaging, as well as mammotome-guided breast biopsy, which can help a doctor make a highly accurate breast cancer diagnosis in an outpatient setting, under local anesthesia - without the need for open breast biopsy surgery. Other services provided will include osteoporosis screening and stress management courses.

Tap your feet or hum along
In addition to raising money for a good cause, the evening's entertainment has something for everyone. The musical variety show will include an assortment of musical genres - classical, jazz, Broadway show tunes, and rock - as well as a broad representation of instruments.

Performers will include favorites from previous years as well as the debut of new talent. Dr. John Jaureguito and his wife, Patsy O'Brien are serving as this year's event chairs.

Performances will be followed by a reception of beautifully displayed desserts where audience members can meet the performers and share a great time with friends.
