Niles Library
I would like to contribute to your article about the Niles Library. I was the librarian there in 1977 and arranged for Kraftile, a local Niles tile company, to donate and install tile in the foyer. Additionally, the newly-formed Friends of the Library paid for the mural over the fireplace that was done by an extremely good local artist, Harold Booth, who recently passed. These are parts of history that should have been included in what otherwise was a great piece on local history. Your readers might be encouraged to visit the library to view the Hal Booth painting that portrays the history of Niles, as well as to take advantage of its other services.
