"No Name Calling Week"by Gary Leatherman
The Fremont Unified School District Safe and Drug-Fee Schools Program is planning a series of activities Jan. 23-27 in conjunction with national No Name Calling Week. On Tuesday evening (Jan. 24), Walters Junior High School will host a free screening of a powerful documentary film on middle-school name-calling and bullying titled "Let's Get Real."
The film shows bullying through the eyes of students. It will be shown at 6:30 and will be followed by small group discussions on problem solving. Spanish translation and babysitting will be provided.
Walters Junior High is located at 39600 Logan Drive. The film will be presented in Room 1 for parents of students in grades 6-8 and in the school library for parents of students in grades 9-10.
