The Santa Clara Valley Midget A (17-18 year olds), Men's Ice Hockey Team continued its winning ways by being crowned champions of a Southern California holiday tournament. They were 3-0-1 (three wins, zero losses and tie) in early tournament play and then won the championship by defeating the Los Angeles Junior Kings 4-3 in overtime.

The Hawks finished 2005 atop the Midget A division regular season standings with a record of 6-0-1. Regular season continued this past Sunday on the road against the San Jose Jr. Sharks. The Midget A team plays their next three regular season games at home at Sharks Ice in Fremont.

Scheduled games are: Sunday, Jan. 22, 10:30 a.m. against the California Cougars then back-to-back home games on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 5:45 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 4 at 4:00 p.m., both against the second place Tri Valley Blue Devils. Note: The Feb. 4 game has been rescheduled from Jan. 21.
