A Rotary Hanukkah
Befitting the diversity of the holiday season, Rotary Club of Mission San Jose, meeting at the Sisters of the Holy Family Palmdale Estates, invited Rabbi Kaplan of Fremont's Temple Beth Torah to explain the meaning of Hanukkah and sample Potato Latkes, a traditional Jewish favorite at this time of year. The December 16th meeting was attended by District 5170 Governor, Arlene Greenberg and Herb Epstein of the Fremont Rotary Club who graciously consented to lend his culinary skills to the occasion. Rotarians Mayor Bob Wasserman and Lila Bringhurst joined District Governor Greenberg to admire - and sample - Epstein's cooking.
