Folk Singer Returns to Fremontby Caryl Dockter
Glenn Yarbrough, the world-famous folk singer from the 1960s, will return to Fremont for two repeat performances of "The Forgotten Carols" at 8 p.m. on December 13 and 14 in Old Mission San Jose, 43300 Mission Boulevard, Fremont. Glenn narrates and sings this touching Christmas story with backup singing by the local Deo Gloria Choir.
In Glenn's own words, "Michael McLean's Forgotten Carols changed me...I knew I was meant to tell this tale and I am very grateful to Michael for granting me that privilege. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye and joy to my heart. My hope is that it will touch others as it has so deeply touched me. Listen to it with those you love and be transported to a place of peace, hope and wonder. May this story become a cherished part of your Christmas tradition."
Tickets are $25 and $35, all seats reserved. Last year's performances sold out. For information or reservations, please call (510) 793-6375 or email acdockter@sbcglobal.net. The concerts are sponsored jointly by the Fremont Symphony Guild and Old Mission San Jose. |
