School Board member speaks out
What I find a great blessing as a school board member is the opportunity to visit many schools and people. Often in the course of my visits, I have witnessed the talents and creativity by many of our students, teachers, and staff. Just this past Thursday, I was invited to a drama which was produced, directed, and performed by the advanced drama class at Centerville Jr. High. What a fabulous production it was! When I attended the homecoming rallies at our high schools last month, I was also overwhelmed by the level of skill, artistic expression, passion and energy exhibited by our students.
Whenever I walk into the District office, I feast my eyes on the beautiful artworks displayed along the hallway. All of our students are unique and special, with tremendous amount of gifts to offer. I am so proud of our schools, and I urge everyone to participate in the Celebrate Fremont's 50th Event by entering art, writing, and various projects; and to bring their talents and skills to stages at Central Park on September 9, 10, 2006. For more information, please log on to www.celebratefremont.org. Come on, schools, let's show our community what we've got!
