Fremont Storm midfielder Anna Martin led her team to a 3-1 victory over Newark on Saturday. After a scoreless first half with Fremont pressing but not scoring, and barely a minute into the second half, Anna punched in the first of her two goals. Nicole Stone fed her a cross pass near the goal to set up the first. Anna struck again 9 minutes later off a pinpoint lead pass from Roquell Martinez that split two defenders. Defender Hannah Welker provided an insurance goal at 19' with a sizzling kick from the perimeter that caught Newark off guard.

Sabrina Singh and Janelle Herrera turned in strong games on defense, and Jocelyn Chiou netted 3 goalkeeper saves, including a leaping mid-air stop in the final minutes of play. Fremont finished their regular season with a winning record at 4-3-3.
