Math-agility Contest
Math-agility is an organization that attempts to develop students' interest in math through mental-arithmetic training and math based activities - puzzles, riddles, games, contests, etc. They operate clubs at several schools in the Bay Area as well as two off-campus sites in Fremont. Since 2003, semi-annual Math Contests provide a forum for members and non-members alike to showcase their talents and compete against their peers in the Bay Area.
"We know that such events help the kids because we see a marked increase in the enthusiasm of our members in the weeks leading to and following the contests," said Vivek Prasad, Math-agility Club team member. There is a nominal entry fee for these contests to cover costs. The top three winners of each grade level receive a trophy or a medal. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
