The Happy Fish Swim School is organizing a benefit for local schools on Sunday, October 16 at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont. This will be the first Happy Fish Run for Education and it is expected to be an annual event. Events include a 5k walk/run, 10k run, and quarter and half mile Tiny Trot runs for the kids. The run begin at 9 a.m. and is followed by the Family Fitness Expo with fun activities for parents and kids.
Goodie bags with event T-shirts, promotions and coupons will be given to all participants. Happy Fish Swim School is hosting this event along with Fremont Education Foundation, Bay Aerials Gymnastics, Learning Bee Learning Center, Village Treasures, Dale Hardware, NewPark Mall, Foot Solutions, City Beach and Glenmoor Auto Repair.
The race fee for 5k and 10k events is $25 and Tiny Trots is $15. Participants are requested to list the school programs or activities they support on the entry form. Happy Fish will donate $10 of the entry fee for that particular program. Proceeds from sponsors will benefit the Guy Emanuele Sports Fund to help students in need participate in sports programs.
