Fremont Education Foundation and Fremont Flowers welcome students and teachers back to school
The Fremont Education Foundation (FEF) and Fremont Flowers have teamed up again this year to welcome teachers back to school. On August 30, the day before school starts, all Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) elementary students are invited to stop by Fremont Flowers on 37085 Fremont Blvd. to receive a free flower to give to their new teacher on the first day of school. All Fremont Unified schools begin the new school year on August 31.
In addition to giving free flowers away to elementary teachers, Fremont Flowers is also donating bouquets to each FUSD school on August 31. FEF members will be delivering the bouquets to the school sites.
"FEF is thrilled to be working with Fremont Flowers again this year on Welcome Teacher Day. It's a great way to start the first day of school and bring the community together for a great 2005-06 school year," said FEF Board Member Sherea Westra.
"Fremont Flowers is thrilled with the community acceptance of Welcome Teacher Day. It is our desire to see a vase of roses on every teacher's desk on the first day of school. It is the perfect way to tell our teachers how much we appreciate them!" said Dirk Lorenz, Associate FEF Board Member and owner of Fremont Flowers.
