Spotlight on Ohlone College
As Ohlone College prepares for fall classes and looks forward to the construction of a satellite campus in Newark, the Athletic Department has announced a fun day of golf to support Student Athletic Programs. Scheduled for Monday, August 12 at Castlewood Country Club, the "shotgun start" will follow registration, lunch and a putting contest set for 11 a.m.
Golfers, non-golfers and sponsors are invited to participate in the Ohlone College Golf Tournament. Individual registration for golfers is available for $225 including green fees, cart, lunch, dinner, special awards and prizes. Foursomes are $900. Golfers who register and pay by August 22 will be eligible to win a golf players package including a foursome at a Bay Area golf course.
Non-golfers are welcome to enjoy a "relaxing alternative" to 18 holes of golf. A putting and chipping clinic from Castlewood pros plus a "BizGolf Dynamics" Workshop to provide strategies for developing professional relationships on the golf course are scheduled as well as a "mini spa" visit and wine tasting, lunch and dinner. Registration for these activities is $100 per person.
Following the day of golf or the non-golfer's retreat, dinner, raffle and a live auction and awards program will round out the day.
