One of Coyote Hill's best kept secrets can be found inside the Visitor Center at Possum's Pocket Nature Store. The unique gift shop is filled with nature-themed items at discounted prices.

You'll find binoculars, bug boxes, Audubon bird callers and the audio bird song dictionary with head phones and two song cards. More cards are available on request. There is also a large variety of field guides from beginning to advanced birding, wildflowers, butterflies, and an introduction to California trees and plants.

Another must have is the San Francisco Bay Trail Guide collection. It comes with six colored maps highlighting recommended routes and points of interest, all in a sturdy laminated folder. T-shirts, hats and guide bags are also available as are sunscreen, mosquito repellant and cameras.

The Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Mondays). Visa and MasterCard accepted. For additional information, call (510) 795-9385.
