Hear ye! Hear ye! For fairy tale lovers and folks who are looking for something different, a fresh story, complete with musical numbers and charming costumes is coming to town. Ohlone College is presenting the mixed-fairy tale "Into the Woods" and it will certainly be worth watching for fantasy fans. To make it even more exciting, it will be presented in the outdoor amphitheater under the stars.
"Into the Woods," is the tale of a baker and his wife who want to break the curse of being childless. In the process of trying to break the spell, they run into various fairy tale characters like Cinderella, Jack of "Jack and the Beanstalk," Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood. The baker and his wife try to help all these characters reach the goal of living happily ever after. However, this happiness is not to last because in the second act, everyone must face the consequences of what they have done to achieve this perfect ending. What will Jack do with a dead giant in his backyard? Is being married to a prince as great as it seems?
