Dale Hardware turns '50'
Few stores have thrived and survived in the Tri-Cities since the Washington Township was divided by city boundaries. One of those is Dale Hardware which opened its doors in 1955, prior to the incorporation of Fremont. Harry "Bill" Smith and his wife Elinor were proud to offer hardware services to the semi-rural area with 22,000 residents. Fifty years have passed and Dale Hardware a block away from its original location, remains a Tri-City icon with son, Garth Smith at its helm.
In honor of its longevity and customer loyalty, Dale Hardware will celebrate with a huge "birthday bash" on Saturday, May 21. Festivities will include a vendor fair, live entertainment and an anniversary raffle and barbeque. Stop by Dale Hardware to wish them "happy birthday" (see back page of this issue for details).
