Mission San Jose High School Mission San Jose High School Ocean Science Bowl Team placed third in the National Ocean Science Bowl contest in Biloxi, Miss. April 25. A total of 2,000 students from 400 high schools in 23 regions entered the competition this year. In the Ocean Science Bowl, contestants must answer questions related to ocean biology, chemistry, geology, physics, navigation, geography, history and literature.
Irvington High School We the People Team from Irvington High School ranked fourth in the National We the People competition in Washington D.C. April 28-May 2. We the People is an advanced American government class focused on the Constitution of the United States.
Mission San Jose High School Science bowl team from Mission San Jose High School won second place in the National Science Bowl championship May 2 in Chevy Chase, MD. The 15th annual competition, involved more than 300 students representing 63 high schools. As their reward for placing second, the team received a $1,000 cash prize, computer accessories and a two-week trip to Australia to attend the International Science School. |
