On Saturday, April 30, the city of Fremont is sponsoring an Arbor Day Celebration at Central Park's Lions Picnic Area, 40000 Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont.

The event will last from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and include a flag ceremony presented by Girl Scouts of America Troop 1497, an Arbor Day Memory of J. Sterling Delatorre Morton, the city of Fremont's Arbor Day Proclamation and a tree planting arranged by Urban Forestry staff.
