National Library Weekby Ronnie Davis
This year's National Library Week is scheduled for April 10-16. To celebrate the event, the Bay Area Library and Information System (BALIS) will spearhead a multi-media campaign throughout April to highlight the contributions of libraries to our community and encourage even greater library usage through the campaign theme, "Your library card. Get it...Use it."
The BALIS' campaign will include colorful signs on over 175 buses, public service announcements on Bay Area radio stations and movie ads and trailers on over 130 theater screens throughout the Bay Area - all promoting the theme.
Contact your local Alameda County Library for information about exciting programs for all ages during the month of April or check the library's website at www.aclibrary.org. |
