March 22, 2005 > Paddy's Coffee House exhibits 'Glass Mosaic and More'

Union City artist Juneko Martinson will present an exhibit of glass mosaic art at Paddy's Coffee House in Union City from March 21 through April 22 with a reception on March 26, from noon until 5:00 p.m.

Juneko has enjoyed the creative arts since childhood and through experience with a variety of media has created a unique style of glass mosaic that uses individually formed pieces of glass that she places on a clear glass sheet or mirror. Unlike traditional mosaics which the artist builds on an opaque surface, Juneko's mosaics achieve a three-dimensional "pop-out" look that use the transparent character of both the glass surface and the pieces forming the artwork.

Paddy's Coffee House in Union City has showcased many local artists both in individual exhibition as well as with the upcoming Union City's annual Sharing the Arts Show, on April 23.
