Shen's Books Celebrates New Learning Center With Lunar New Year Open Houseby Renee Ting
Shen's Books, the Fremont-based children's book publisher and supplier, has announced the launch of the Shen's Books Learning Center at its present location in Irvington. In addition to its catalog of multicultural books for children, the center will be offering programs in math for young children, as well as Chinese language classes for all ages.
The book store will open Saturday, Feb. 5 from 1 - 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to drop by, eat some festive Chinese New Year goodies, browse the bookshelves, and learn more about the new learning center programs. All visitors will go home with a Chinese Zodiac souvenir.
The core of the center's offerings will be the MPM Math program, providing after-school enrichment for children to introduce mathematical concepts through a personalized approach and exciting hands-on activities. The program is ideal for children in kindergarten through third grade to get involved.
In addition, they will offer small-group Chinese language instruction for both children and adults.
The Shen's Books Learning Center is located at 40951 Fremont Blvd., just north of the five corners intersection in Irvington. The open house is free and open to the public. For more information or for directions, please call (510) 668-1898 or email info@shens.com. |
