Italian Restaurant Offers Flamenco Dancingby Florence Ion
Fellin O's Italian restaurant in Newark has added something new to the menu, flamenco dancing. New owners Catherine and Eddie Diaz wanted to include the Latin dance along with a newer food menu.
With an already varied menu (which originally featured delectable Italian cuisine), new owner Catalina has added a Mediterranean spin to the cuisine. The menu now offers Spanish and Portuguese specialties, giving guests a broader culinary choice and a "flavorful" dining experience. The restaurant will also bring the bar to full-service by featuring a variety of mixed drinks and exotic specialties not offered before.
The restaurant has taken oven the Saloon that was originally next door and turned it into a dance hall. Fellini O's now includes Flamenco dancing performances on a regular basis accompanied by Portuguese music (referred to as "fado"). After each performance, the restaurant will feature Latin dancing and music provided by the famous DJ "El Patico". Performances will take place every Saturday night and will include a spectacular presentation to accompany the rich culture of the restaurant. Fellini O Restaurant is the only place in the Tri City area that has music and dancing on a regular basis.
For an evening of Latin fun, visit Fellini O located at 3900 New Park Mall Rd, in Newark, located across from Newpark Mall near Mowry Ave.
