Letter to the EditorThank you from The One Bear Project
The One Bear Project thanks the Tri-City community for its response to bring a bit of whimsy and light-heartedness to children-in-need during the holiday season. As a result of donations received and the encouragement and support of Heritage Bank of Commerce, over 400 teddy bears and friends have found new homes with children receiving services from Sunrise Village (The Tri-City Homeless Coalition), Sister John Marie's Pantry, Newark Community Church, Centerville Free Dining and Tri-City Volunteers. As The One Bear Project says, "We are touched by the continued support to let children-in-need know they are not forgotten, that they matter. The motto of The One Bear Project states that together we will "Heal Hearts One Bear at a Time."
