A Christmas Story
For the past 7 years, Ashley Mosesman has attended the Pathways Hospice and Washington Hospital Foundation "Trees of Angels" celebrations as a major part of her holiday season. This is remarkable since this Mattos Elementary School student is currently 8 years old! Her mother, Laurie Ann Reardon, says that Ashley attended her first Trees of Angels tree lighting at age thirteen months and has been to every one since. Ashley also loves to visit with Ronald McDonald and Santa Claus at the annual children's breakfast held in honor of the Trees of Angels too.
This year, the celebration held at McDonald's Restaurant near I-680 in Fremont on Monday, November 29th, held a special surprise for Ashley. A raffle for a decorated tree donated by Fremont Flowers and Gifts, adorned with McDonald's character ornaments and gift certificates supplied by Mark Bernardin and the Bernardin group of McDonald's Restaurants was included in the ceremonies. It was only fitting that Ashley's ticket was drawn. Her bright smile and joy at the unexpected gift was the perfect beginning of everyone's holiday season. Congratulations Ashley! |
