Las Posadas, the celebration commemorating Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem, has been a tradition of Old Mission San Jose since 1982. Participants meet each evening from December 16 to 24 at 6 p.m. on the porch of the Mission Museum. The carolers, featuring a different performance group each night, make their way to a local business. Upon arriving, the group enjoys delightful entertainment followed by light refreshments provided by the host business or location.

This is a wonderful celebration of the Christmas season and all are welcome to join in the festivities. The Committee for the Restoration of the Mission San Jose and the Fremont Cultural Arts Council sponsor the event. For more information contact Laura Diaz at (510) 657-1797, ext. 103
