The Actor's Nightmare

by Heidi Leung

Have you ever dreamt of being a famous actor or actress? Well, here's a play that'll make you rejoice with happiness that you didn't follow that path. The Actor's Nightmare is a play about George Spelvin, an actor who casually wanders on stage one day only to find out that he has to replace another actor who has gotten into a car accident. He has never been to a rehearsal and has no idea what play he's suppose to perform. He's dressed as Hamlet but finds himself fumbling through one play after another until he completely loses all connection with his fellow thespians. When he finally says the right lines, reality kicks in, and well...if you want to find out you'll just have to watch this comedic one act play. American High School will be presenting the Actor's Nightmare as well as other one acts, on Dec. 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11.
