Five brothers from Sicily immigrated to the United States and began a clothing store in Sunnyvale in 1968. The family manufactured clothes in Italy and it was natural to continue the family business in the United States. Tailoring and alteration services for other stores grew to include retail establishments that prospered as customers recognized the superb talents of the Cassara clan. Over 25 years have passed and during that time, Tony opened his own establishment in Fremont - a magnet for men demanding the best clothing quality and the finest tailoring. Women have used Tony's talents for alterations as well.

Cassara's carries fine men's clothes including suits, shirts, ties, belts, shoes and tuxedo rentals. A line of fine leather coats can be found here too. All clothing can be altered to fit any size or style, even leather coats. Tony says, "If you are a tailor, you can alter anything." Personal service and custom fit have been the hallmark of this successful enterprise. Two of the five brothers have now retired and Tony will be moving to a new location at the end of the year.

Tony emphasizes that the location may change, but he will still be available for clothing and custom tailoring wherever he opens his new store. Since people from all parts of the country have used Cassara's services, the move will not present a problem for most customers. Tony says that throughout the transition, his phone will be open to clients and services will not be interrupted. He adds that he has always been a "tailor on wheels" who can be of service to customers at their office or home when time doesn't permit a trip to his shop.
