Celebrate Children's Book Week Plus at all the Alameda County Librariesby Kay Lingo
Take a trip around the world and celebrate National Children's Book Week Plus. At all Alameda County Libraries, November 1, 2004 through November 24, 2004. The Children's Book Council created Children's Book Week to encourage children, and the adults who care for them, to make time each day with a favorite book.
Check our website to see the various performers at the different branches such as puppet, magic, and music shows. Book lovers can also check out the libraries' "Challenge Page" at www.aclibrary/kidsplace. Just click on "Children Book Week Plus", unscramble the titles of well-known children's books and win many great prizes.
Also, while celebrating Children's Book Week Plus, participate in the Book Swap! Bring a book from home and swap it for a new book. See our website to find out which branches will have a Book Swap
All libraries except Niles are wheelchair accessible and an ASL Interpreter will be provided if at least 7 working days prior notice is given. Call your specific branch phone number for arrangements.
