November 9, 2004 > Newark Prepares the Perfect Recipe for Golden Anniversary

The City of Newark will be celebrating its Golden Anniversary in 2005. To celebrate this special event, Newark Days Celebration, Inc. will be producing a commemorative cookbook featuring recipes from past and current dignitaries as well as local citizens. Featured in the cookbook will be histories of the City of Newark, Newark Unified School District and Newark Days. There will also be a variety of photos of Newark - past and present.

The Newark Days Cookbook Committee invites you to submit your favorite recipe. Our categories include: Appetizers & Beverages, Soups & Salads, Healthy Alternatives & Low Carb, Meats, Desserts & Baked Goods and Kid Friendly.

Recipe forms and ad information is available on the website at www.newarkdays.org/cookbook.htm or at the League of Volunteers Community Service Center, 35233-C Newark Blvd., Newark.
