Fremont Cultural Arts Council Hosts Annual Juried Photographic Exhibitby imon Chen
Each year, the FCAC sponsors an opportunity for local talented photographers to show their best work to the Tri-City community. This year, the "juried" exhibit will display over one hundred of the almost two hundred photographs submitted for judging. Many have helped behind the scenes to make this a successful show including the City of Fremont and the Fremont Library Staff, especially Angela Yang.
Judging is based on Artistic Expression, Originality, Degree of Difficulty and Technical aspects. The judges for this year are:
Alison Brooks, A professional photographer and owner of a professional darkroom called "The Negative Space". She has been teaching and judging photography for many years. Alison is also a board member and past president for Northern California Council of Camera Clubs.
Kenna Mawk, an amateur photographer for over 12 years and believes the photograph represents an art form and is the personal expression of the individual. She has been judging photographic competitions for many years.
Tara Gill, is an award-winning freelance photographer with 11 years experience. She owns and operates Fisheye Photography, a business that offers portraiture, wedding and fine art photography.
