Volunteers Celebrate James Leitch Elementary Courtyard Renovationby Debbie Amundson, Principal
The Warm Springs Rotary Club and community volunteers have been working every Saturday since May to renovate our large courtyard at James Leitch Elementary in Fremont. We have new concrete eating areas, new gardens and landscape, an automatic sprinkler system, and new benches for our students, staff and parent community. This is estimated to be an $80,000 project yet all of this work was done with donations of material, equipment, money, and the hard work and labor of our community vendors and volunteers. This project was spearheaded by Luis Lira, parent and rotary member, to promote school beautification, improve our facility, and bring our community together as volunteers. To celebrate the conclusion of this project, we are having a Courtyard Dedication Ceremony and hope you will attend.
