There are many storage facilities in the Tri-Cities, but a few are worthy of special mention. In the Centerville District of Fremont, on Post Street, a storage complex sits next to Dale Hardware. Available Self Storage is quiet and good neighbor so many who pass by rarely notice. But, for some who are lucky enough to store their belongings here, this is known as the residence of an outgoing and helpful couple who personally watch over their treasures.

For the past five years, Billy and Debbie Cripple have managed the facility and warmly greet their clients. Many years of previous experience managing similar facilities gives them the assurance and knowledge to make sure customers are happy and have confidence that if an emergency arises, these people are equal to whatever needs to be done. Billy says, "We enjoy getting to know people, their backgrounds and personal stories. This job allows us to get involved in the community and we enjoy it."

Belongings are secure at Available Self Storage since the Cripples live on site and share space with their customer's favorite four-legged employee and chief greeter, "Lowie." After hours, Lowie patrols the grounds as a vigilant watchdog. Storage sizes range from 5'x5' to 20'x30' all on a single floor with each space alarmed individually. From 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. except for major holidays, customers are free to come and go to their rental units. Billy notes that in the event of an emergency, he and Debbie are there to make sure access is available. He remembers a time when a customer was desperate to retrieve tools necessary for an after hours job. Billy was there to help. He says, "We are more than just a storage place. We take an interest in our tenants and make sure they are okay when they visit us." Many customers have used the storage for many years. In fact, Billy knows of one tenant who has rented space since the facility opened 20 years ago! He says that many businesses use Available Self Storage because it is less expensive than secure warehouse space.

For month to month rental of secure space, Available Self Storage can be the answer. For longer periods, Billy says that if 11 months are pre-paid, the twelfth month is free!
