The Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area will be hosting a "Fun Run" as a Gold Award Service Project at Lake Elizabeth on Saturday, July 24. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Fremont Community Center and consists of a 2-mile run/walk. Space is limited to the first 100 registered people. Registration costs $4.00 per person (no cash. Make checks payable to Coyote Hills Association) and the deadline to register is July 14, so participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. The first 100 registered participants will receive a handcrafted flag pin and pamphlets regarding exercise and fitness guidelines. Pre-registered participants will be required to check in from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. on the day of the run.

Donations of new and unused toiletries will be accepted to benefit the veterans at Menlo Park Veterans Administration Hospital. Examples of acceptable donations are toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, soap bars, shampoo, etc.
