Fremont Christian School Hosts Art Show
High School art students display their work June 3rd
On June 3, 7-8:30 p.m., in the school library, Fremont Christian School will host a student art show & reception. Art work of various kinds-- acrylic paintings, ceramics, polymer clay pots, recycled sculptures, mosaics, and drawings of charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pastel, & marker will be on display.
This show is the culmination of an "Art Careers Game" played in class for 3 weeks prior to the show. This game involves each student who is asked to choose an art career that is essential to the art show process. The teacher is the gallery owner and all the students are her employees. Students must promote, set up and decorate the art show themselves. They transform the school library to look like an art gallery! The night of the art show, each student will attend their own artwork to answer questions by guests - just like a professional artist would do in their own show.
In spite of these times, where the arts are being cut from many school's budgets, Fremont Christian School remains dedicated to the arts in students' academic careers.
The public is invited to meet the student artists, and view and purchase their masterpieces!
Student Art Show Thursday, June 3rd 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Fremont Christian School
